The NC-CAP can make the difference in approval of a small business loan for either a start-up or expansion. The US Treasury will end the over the counter sales of paper savings bonds, as a cost savings measure, as of December 31, 2011.  After this date, customers will no longer be able to purchase savings bonds at Coastal Bank & Trust.  In response to the Treasury's action, Coastal Bank & Trust will no longer process savings bonds purchases after December 27, 2011.  Coastal Bank & Trust will continue to redeem savings bonds as usual.  Customers interested in purchasing savings bonds after December 31, 2011 will need to visit the TreasuryDirect website and purchase electronic savings bonds directly from the Treasury.  For more information, please visit the TreasuryDirect website at www.treasurydirect.gov.
